Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyou Battle Royale!! Announced for Nintendo Switch
Konami have officially announced more details on the new Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel game for Nintendo Switch, previously announced back in December 2020 at Jump Festa alongside a new Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel game.
Not much new has actually been confirmed however, aside from the fact that the game has a new official name; "Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyou Battle Royale!!" and will be releasing in Summer 2021 in Japan on the Nintendo Switch. It shouldn't be a surprise that the game has only been announced for Japan due to Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS and the RUSH DUEL format not being available yet outside of Japan and South Korea.
Additionally, the game will follow a "game original story" and feature fan-favourite characters from the anime such as protagonist Yuga Ohdo, Romin Kirishima, Tatsuhisa Kamijo (Luke), Roa Kirishima, Gakuto Sogetsu and Nail Saionji.
The key visual released above also teases a brand new game-original character we have not yet seen in the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime (likely the self-insert player character reminiscent of the Tag Force games from the PSP), as well as a few of the appearing cards - confirming that we will at least see up to the first wave of cards supporting Maximum Summoning making an appearance in this game.
